Day 1 :
Axum City Tour
Morning: • Start your day with a visit to Northern Stelae Park. Here, you will see giant obelisks, some dating back to the 4th century AD. The tallest standing obelisk is 28 meters high. • Next, head to the Church of Our Lady Mary of Zion, one of the holiest sites in Ethiopia. This church is believed to house the Ark of the Covenant, a sacred chest said to contain the Ten Commandments. • Take a break for a traditional Ethiopian coffee ceremony. Coffee is a way of life in Ethiopia, and the ceremony is a beautiful and social experience. Afternoon: • In the afternoon, you can visit the Tombs of Kings Kaleb and Gebre Meskal. These tombs are massive structures that were carved out of rock. • You can also visit the Queen of Sheba's Palace and the Queen of Sheba's Bath, although there is no archaeological evidence to support these names.
